A Soldier

 

John David Hancock served in a special weapons unit in West Germany during the Cold War. In the late seventies, JD left the Army to pursue a career in law enforcement and trained at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Glynco, Georgia.

 

A Martial Artist

 

The author earned his black belt in the martial arts with Tompkins Karate Association (TKA). He taught Tang Soo Do and Jujitsu in the Washington DC area for over fifteen years.

A Vocation

 

JD worked briefly at CIA headquarters in Northern Virginia before shifting gears to define business requirements for software developers at an independent government agency. Including military time, his career in public service spanned over thirty years.

 

An Author

 

Looking to expand his horizons, JD started writing during the Covid lockdown. Learning about the writing process occupied much of his time and after many, many edits, his novel began to take shape. Producing his trilogy, The Nuclear View, is an accoplishment that will be difficult to top.
